I met the person I want to spend my life with.

She’s not perfect. She’s kind of a pain in the ass sometimes. When she’s excited about something she wants it to happen yesterday. And when she’s not in the best mood, she can be a bit of a princess. Youngest kids in the family are like that, I hear. People tell her she’s beautiful, but most of the time she just feels average. She’s okay with that.

The thing is, she’s trying. Every day she’s working on growing and evolving and becoming a better person. Every day she starts it all off by clearing the slate. The daily morning yoga practice seems like a bit of a chore sometimes, but she’s a heckuva lot happier and better to be around because of it.

There’s a lot she still hasn’t figured out. There’s a lot she’s still sorting through: insecurities, doubt, how to be in a relationship, how to balance heart and mind in everyday life. How to whistle. There’s a lot.

But she seems to be getting there. It seems like, maybe, just maybe, she’s realizing that she is the person she always wanted to become.

The most important thing is this: I love her.

Which is a good thing. Because, well, she’s me.
