go big or go home: following your heart

Hello everybody,

Goodbye.

I’m off–for four whole weeks! There has been a dream burning in my heart for years now: go back to Paris and do it my way; and then go to the place that matches the feeling I’d dreamed of having, away somewhere, near the ocean, with yoga, and writing writing writing. I have stories in my head that need to come out. They must be written; it doesn’t matter if they’re never published.

And so, in a whirlwind of decisions and activity, I booked the tickets, scored an apartment in Paris for the few days I need to be there, and found the perfect place to go afterwards. I knew it as soon as it came up in Google. It’s on a tiny Greek island, hosts yogis, painters, and writers, and I’m spending the entire time putting pen to paper. Well, plus yoga, swimming, sunbathing, exploring, eating, drinking, laughing, dancing…

There’s pretty much no internet access. And my Kundalini inspiration, Gloria Latham, had this to say: “Lindsey, don’t blog about this trip. I see how people work. You’ll spend the entire time thinking about how you can write about this moment later on. Don’t do it. Be in the moment.”

So goodbye and best wishes for the next four weeks. I’ll be being in the moment. I sincerely hope you are, too.
