15 things to remember when going after your dreams

1. Don’t downplay your accomplishments. ‘Yes’ to giving thanks to others for their guidance. ‘No’ to playing second fiddle. 2. Do something different. If you want to have something you’ve never had before, you need to do something you’ve never done. 3. Celebrate. Before the cheque has been signed, before the contract is finalized, before anyone anywhere has even replied to your emails. Celebrate. 4. Yoda had a point. There is no try, only do. 5. Feed faith, not doubt. Look for evidence that you’ll make it, and that others have done the same.

6. Don’t listen to everyone. Listen to people who lift you up, support your goals, and ignite your belief in yourself. 7. Play to your strengths. Sure, you could do it all—but why would you? Do what lights you up. 8. Play. And rest. Leave time for what totally delights you. Re-fuel your soul. 9. It’s harder than you thought it would be, and that’s ok. Re-vamping the game plan, going back to square one, re-assessing the lay-out—it’s all part of the master plan. And it’s ok. 10. Strengthen your wings. Certain butterflies only transform into gorgeous winged creatures after they’ve completed the epic struggle to leave the cocoon. The struggle gives them wings strong enough to take flight.

11. Be the change you want to see in your world. Want more expansive opportunity? Ease, flow, fun, and abundance? Create those feelings within yourself—first and foremost. 12. Jump in the ocean. Or stand at the top of a mountain. Lie beneath a star-filled sky. Feel the magnitude of the universe, and the itty bittyness of your stressors. 13. You were given this life because you were strong enough to live it. 14. Be you. Be you. Be you. 15. Chocolate. Sometimes it’s the only solution. Much love, L
