Tantra Yoga and the Shiva Sutras

There are worlds within worlds in yoga. Tantra isn’t about sex. It’s about embracing life in a way that acknowledges and embraces the soul. We are embodied beings–spiritual beings having a human experience–and through our yoga practice we can unite with the universe.

Shiva meets Shakti, energy rises, and we uncoil into liberation.

Synchronicity shows up. Miracles happen. We receive boundless gifts.

Life is mystical.

In this workshop, our physical practice will be dedicated to acknowledging and re-igniting our connection to the universe around us and the deep abiding liberating energy within us. Uniting Shiva and Shakti. The microcosm with the macrocosm. We’ll do this through both Kundalini and Hatha-based postures. Of course, there’ll be dancing. Mantra. And soul-evoking music.

Our meditation and philosophical framework talk on the Shiva Sutras, an important Tantric text, will be led by Swami Maheshananda Saraswati–a good friend and mentor to Lindsey, and a swami, teacher and former instructor at Bihar Yoga Bharati in India—the first yoga university in the world.

About Me
My life-long practice is to live a full, world-embracing life that reflects my transformational experiences with kundalini energy, synchronicity and mind-bending big and tiny miracles. Teaching yoga is one of my favourite ways to share that with you in a way that serves. My greatest wish is that you are uplifted, held in sacred space and united with love.

About Swami Mahesh

He has taught the philosophical and practical aspects of Yoga and Tantra at the post graduate and undergraduate levels at Bihar Yoga Bharati—the first yoga university in the world—as a Lecturer of the Yoga Philosophy Department from 1998 to 2005. Swami Maheshananda has the ability to present some of the most profound yogic concepts with clarity and openness, providing new perspectives that are unique and refreshing.
