Hour-long meditation? Check.
Hour-long asana practice? Check.
At least twenty minutes of pranayama? Check.

So, that’s about two and a half hours of yoga every day. No problem, right? Yeah, right.

You don’t have to change your life to improve your life. Five minutes of yoga (asana/postures, pranayama/breathing, or meditation) is enough. Some people like to do it before they even get out of bed: long deep yogic breathing right after waking up. Some people like to do it right after they get out of bed: a few sun salutations, with conscious breath. Others do some pranayama in the car on the drive to work, maybe chant a couple “Ommms” while at a stop-light.

Here’s the great thing about yoga. It’s easy. It’s quick. It works.

I invite you to spend just five minutes a day doing something, anything, that makes you feel better.
