The Perfection of Imperfection
Full disclosure: I’m super tired today. Competely exhausted, in fact. We had a fight last night. Me and my love. (He really is, despite it all.) We still haven’t made up.
So this morning I’m sitting trying to come up with something positive, something “yogic”. And I can’t.
So I sat. And I sat. And my butt fell asleep.
What can I learn from this? I racked my brain.
What feels good, when it rose up from my heart, is this learning, from yoga:
We make mistakes. We fight. We try to do it yogically. We do our best, and sometimes things still go to hell.
Nobody is perfect. Not me. Not you.
What a relief.
What I’ve learned is that if we remember this, we can keep going. We can stay up, instead of letting it always get us down. We do our best, and sometimes things still go to hell.
